Because our products are made in small batches rather than mass-produced, we ask for your patience as we prepare your order with care.

1. Processing & Crafting Timelines
- In-Stock Artisanal Pieces: Hand-packed and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days.
- Made-to-Order / Small-Batch Items: Hand-dyed or woven upon order. Please allow 7 to 14 business days before dispatch. (Specific crafting times are noted on individual product pages).
**A Note on Artisanal Variations: Because we use natural plant dyes (such as organic indigo) and traditional hand-loom techniques, subtle variations in shade, weave, or print are a natural mark of authentic handcraft—not defects.

2. Domestic Shipping (India)
- Standard Delivery: 3 to 7 business days post-dispatch.
- Shipping Charges: Free shipping on orders above ₹5000. A flat rate of ₹250 applies to orders below this amount.

3. Worldwide / International Shipping
We ship globally to bring authentic Indian craft to your doorstep! International shipments are dispatched via express courier partners.
- International Transit Time: Typically 5 to 9 business days post-dispatch (depending on destination country and customs clearance).
- Shipping Rates: Calculated at checkout based on package weight and destination country.
- Free Worldwide Shipping Threshold: We offer Free International Express Shipping on orders exceeding $200 USD (or equivalent currency).

4. International Customs, Import Taxes & Duties
Customs Duties & Taxes: International orders may be subject to import duties, local taxes, or customs fees imposed by the destination country once the parcel arrives.
Responsibility: All customs duties, tariffs, and VAT/sales taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. These fees are not included in our shipping rates at checkout.
Customs Delays: Indigo Genes is not responsible for unexpected delays caused by destination customs inspections or clearance procedures.

6. International Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
Because international shipping carries a high carbon footprint and heavy customs regulations, we encourage mindful purchasing:
- International Orders: All sales shipped outside India are 'final'. We do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.
- Damaged or Incorrect Items: In the rare event that your piece arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 48 hours of delivery at info.indigogenes@gmail.com with photos and video of the unboxing. We will arrange a replacement or refund immediately.
- Cancellations: Orders can only be canceled within 12 hours of placement, provided they have not already entered the dyeing/crafting or dispatch stage.
